We traveled to the quaint little town of Ridgeland, SC last weekend for the wedding of EV and Donovan. The church they were married in has sentimental value for them, as it is the same church EV's parents and other close family members have also been married in. Furthermore, the church has such a rich history; It was built in the mid nineteeth century and was taken over by General Sherman as a shelter for Union Army horses during the Civil War. The church boasts original doors and wood work both inside and out. It is said that you can even still see some hoof marks on the floor boards.
Huge Oak trees dripping with spanish moss stood watch outside the church. The whole setting could not have been more picturesque. Though small, the church and surrounding grounds held a commanding presence that demanded your attention as an onlooker.
As a photographer, I daresay there are very few situations in life that a picture just cannot fully capture. These moments exist only when the beauty of a moment or a place penetrates the environment from every single angle that its impossible to experience it all from just one point of view. This was one of those moments.
So these pictures are just one point of view of the beauty that surrounded EV and Donovan on their wedding day...enjoy.
