Chris and Ashley Hyatt

Chris and Ashley was our first wedding since the birth of Preston and we just couldn't imagine having had a better time getting back in the game! They have been so wonderful to work with over the past year or so and we are lucky to be able to call them friends.

We hope you two had a wonderful time in St. Lucia! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your wedding...Congratulations, again and we hope you enjoy the pictures!

Baby, its time!!!

We are now less than 36 hours away from Preston making his grand debut! He is ready and so is his momma! We celebrated with our families tonight at a nice italian restaurant and tomorrow will be spent finishing up last minute things to ensure that all I will have to worry about for the next two weeks is my newborn son!

We have to arrive at the hospital at 5:30 am on Tuesday morning as the c-section is scheduled for 7:30 am...I venture to argue they won't need to give me any anesthesia because I will still be asleep! (I don't do anything at 5:30 in the morning!)

Here are some pictures of the belly that were taken this evening. Last appointment the doctor guesstimated him to be about 7lbs...so the lingering question is, how big will he be at birth! Anyone want to take a guess and post a comment?!

We are busting at the seams with anticipation to see who's eyes he'll have; if he'll have any hair and if so what color it will be; how much will he weigh? How long will he be? Guess we'll find out soon enough!!!! The challenge will be trying to sleep tomorrow night :)

Mr. and Mrs. Thornton

Katina and Darrell were married at the Higdon House Inn in Greensboro, GA at the end of last month. The Bed and Breakfast Inn provided a beautiful backdrop for their day. Katina, a college graduate with an Art degree, did not miss one detail in planning her day! She even did all the flowers herself!!! But Darrell's contributions didn't go unnoticed either; he picked out the cakes, and the groom's cake was almost too pretty to eat!! Here are a few pictures from their day...enjoy!

Robb and Erica

Bryan and I had the pleasure of sharing in the wedding day of Robb and Erica earlier this month. They were our last wedding before taking our "maternity leave" and we couldn't have been more pleased to end with such a delightful couple! I have barely begun to make a dent in editing their pictures, but so far I already have a few favorites that I just can't wait to share! Their colors were a vibrant coral accented with green and they just photographed so well!

Robb and Erica, we hope you are still enjoying the sun and beach in the Dominican Republic right now! Thank you for letting us work with you! We hope you enjoy this sneak peak of what we were able to capture on your wedding day and I am just as anxious as you to get through the rest!!

9 months!

Well, its official...I'm just about 9 months pregnant! So today marks my "official" entry into maternity leave!! And all my maternity leave means is that I will not be photographing any more events until after the baby comes! I will be using the next couple of weeks to catch up on our recent weddings, process orders and hopefully have time to design an album or two before taking the last week in the month completely off to clean my house and prepare for baby, who will make his appearance on June 3rd! Everyone has been so compassionate and sympathetic to my pregnancy and I can't tell you how much all your care and concern means to me! I look forward to introducing baby Preston to you all around this time next month!

Carolann and Tommy

Yesterday we had the privledge of photographing Carolann and Tommy for their engagement pictures. They were so easy and so much fun to work with! Here are a few of our favorite pictures from the day, we hope you enjoy!
Thank you, Carolann and Tommy, for letting us be a part of this important time in your life! We are looking forward to the wedding in September!

Update

Wow! It has really been a long time since my last post! So much for claiming to keep everything updated! I guess good intentions can sometimes only go so far! But, if its a viable excuse, we have had a TON going on..both in the studio and our personal lives! We are finally catching up with some much needed editing after spring break and before we begin a whirlwind with photographing FOUR weddings over the next THREE weeks! May 4th will officially mark the first day of my "maternity leave" and I will use the next three weeks of May to catch everything up to full speed to ensure baby and I have plenty of time to relax for the first few weeks of June!

On a more sour note, we were faced with a horribly difficult decision last week. Our beloved German Shepherd, Behr, acted in a way that finally made us admit that he was just a little too big to have around small children. So, we put the word out and found him a good home with a new mommy and daddy and step-sister, who is a year old shepherd mix named Jade. Yes, I cried..for 5 straight days to be exact and no I wasn't overly emotional because of the pregnancy! We lost a family member that we loved very much but hope that he is having a lot of fun and getting a lot of love from his new family!

New Website!

After a VERY long and frustrating two months, our new website is finally live! There are still a few kinks to iron out. Once we figure them out, expect to be hearing a little Billy Joel and other classics as you browse through our portfolio! We plan to keep this site updated frequently as we photograph events so be sure to check it often!

If you have a second to check out the site now, please do so and let us know what you think about the changes we've made!

Mr and Mrs David Ellison

This wedding was so much fun for us to photograph. I know we say that about every wedding, but we truly love what we do! And this wedding was truly fun. The bride and groom were amazing to work with; they were very animated and up for any adventure we could throw at them! The bridal party and all the guests were in the highest of spirits helping David and Victoria celebrate! All the details of this day were meticulously planned out and nothing was missed. The band, Second Time Around, was fabulous. I've only gotten through one folder in editing so I still have a long way to go, but here are a few of my favorites of the bride and groom so far! I will post more as I edit more! Victoria and David, THANK YOU for letting us share in your day and we hope you are having the time of your life in Antigua!

The weather could not have been more perfect for the occassion. I would like to share of the pictures of their day. Enjoy!

Celebrating 30 Years!

This Valentine's day marked my parents 30 year anniversary!! To celebrate, my brother and I had planned for months upon months to do something special. Finally, we decided to take the whole family to a really nice dinner in Atlanta, but to make it extra special, we decided to rent a limousine! We went through Harmon and Son's limo out of Fayetteville. The driver showed up on time and the limo was great! We made it all the way to the top of our driveway before discovering that there was a problem with the circuit breaker and we had no power in the back. After 15 minutes of trouble shooting and sweating to death in the back with no airconditioning, we decided we had to abandon the limo if we wanted to make our dinner reservations.

Our family, never without an adventure, piled into our comparably tiny SUV and made our reservations right on time! The evening was filled with laugher, food and fun! Despite our mishap with the limo, everyone had a great time celebrating the wonderful 30-year legacy my parents have created.

Madison!

Madison gets bigger and bigger every day! I look at this picture of her and am jerked back to reality as I realize how much she looks like a kid now...almost any trace of her baby features have matured. As sad as it is in a way to watch my baby become a little girl, its also very exciting. I can't wait for the adventures as she grows into a young lady and then a woman. I'm so very blessed for every day I get to spend with her. I cannot wait for baby Preston to arrive to see what adventures he has in store for us!
